We’re looking for Payroll Manager professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska. 

 What You’ll Do 

As a Payroll Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Accounting Department, overseeing the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for up to 750 employees using the UKG Workforce Management (WFM) system. This multifaceted position involves meticulous payroll preparation, maintaining timekeeping systems, and ensuring compliance with payroll-related regulations. 
 
Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and punctually through UKG Workforce Management (WFM) system for a workforce of up to 750 employees. 
  • Maintain and manage the UKG WFM timekeeping system, handling time edits and benefits hours requests. 
  • Ensure precise entry of all payroll deductions, including wages garnishments, liens, direct deposits, and other payroll deductions. 
  • Enter and track employees' rent deductions, forwarding rent reports to management as required. 
  • Conduct training sessions for department managers on UKG WFM editing and hours approval processes for their respective staff. 
  • Issue final paychecks and any necessary manual checks.

What We Need 

  • Exceptional organizational skills are essential to accurately process payroll in a timely manner. 
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within the HR and Accounting teams and with Resort Employees. 
  • Excellent guest service skills paired with a positive attitude. 
  • Capability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in payroll matters. 
  • Proficiency in accurate arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 
  • Preferred prior experience in payroll, accounting, or human resources. 
  • Preferred Experience: UKG WFM and Ultipro Time Management (UTM).

📌 This role occasionally involves extended hours, nights, and weekends to accommodate peak business periods.  Work in a fast-paced, high-energy resort environment. 
📌 This position primarily involves standard office work, including sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and performing tasks such as typing, writing, and phone communication.
