We’re looking for Repair Clerk professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska. 
 
What You’ll Do 
 
As a Repair Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the performance of our rental and customer-owned equipment. Your work ensures that guests enjoy safe and satisfying experiences on the slopes. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Aid the rental shop during peak hours to meet guests' equipment needs. 
  • Help guests choose the right-sized boots, skis, and snowboards based on height, weight, and skill level. Calculate binding tensions and pole lengths to ensure a comfortable fit. 
  • Present rental agreements, address guest questions, and ensure the completion of all necessary documents. 
  • Conducting routine safety inspections on rental equipment to identify and address any potential hazards or maintenance needs. 
  • Maintaining detailed records of equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs for tracking and compliance purposes. 
  • Collaborating with the rental shop team to ensure proper inventory management and equipment availability. 
  • Providing guidance on equipment adjustments to enhance guests' comfort and performance. 
  • Promptly addressing and resolving any guest concerns or issues related to rental equipment. 
  • Staying informed about the latest advancements and trends in skiing and snowboarding equipment.

What We Need 

  • Minimum age of 18 years. 
  • Multiple seasons of prior experience in the maintenance and tuning of skiing and snowboarding equipment. 
  • Knowledge of ski and snowboard gear and accessories. 
  • Possession of required certifications for various ski, snowboarding, and bike brands. 
  • Preferably, experience with Wintersteiger and Grindrite repair machinery. 
  • Prior experience in handling cash is a plus. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent customer service aptitude. 
  • Ability to assist guests of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. 
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule that includes weekends and holidays. 
     

What to Expect 
📌Be on alert and at times, on your feet for long periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
📌Work in a fast-paced, high-energy resort environment. 
📌Adapt to seasonal changes around the resort and special events. 
📌Physical demands: Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment and stand for extended periods of time.  
📌Work Environment:  The noise in this work environment is usually moderate.  Physical terrain in the work environment can be uneven with poor traction; there is ice and snow outside, and wet floors indoors. This role occasionally involves extended hours, nights, and weekends to accommodate peak business periods. Operating within a dynamic, fast-paced guest-centric setting, you will maintain a high level of interaction with staff, guests, and stakeholders.
