As a Nordic Spa Bistro Bartender, you will play a vital role in creating a cozy and rejuvenating atmosphere for spa guests to refuel and unwind. Your role is crucial because you are pivotal in the guest’s impression of quality service.  From providing efficient and friendly service to setting the stage for a personable dining experience, you will maximize food & beverage revenue while creating a lasting impression on our guests.   • Develops excellent product knowledge about the beverage menu and feature items and can answer any inquiry. 
  • Prepare beverages ordered through point of sale system for both self and servers.   
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including regular cleaning of glassware, bar tools, and surfaces to meet hygiene and safety standards. 
  • Monitor and manage bar inventory, performs inventory counts and turns in orders to manager to maintain par levels. Receives checks and puts away orders. 
  • Take part in daily Bar-Prep, assisting in crafting house made ingredients, stocking and preparing all bar products for an effective and efficient service.  
  • Adheres to all regulations governing the service of food and alcohol. 
  • Protects self, co-workers, and guests against safety hazards; reports immediately to the supervisor on duty.

Experience/Passions/Education 

  • Minimum of two years of bartending experience in an upscale establishment  
  • Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations. 
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and organize, produce accurate work in a high-pressure environment without sacrificing quality.  
  • Must be highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and able to complete many diverse tasks concurrently. 
  • Excellent grooming and professional presentation. 
  • Must be TAPS certified.  

Working Conditions: 

Due to 365-day-a-year operations, this position may be required to work long shifts that include late hours, weekends, and holidays. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders. This position spends a lot of time on their feet, multitasking competing priorities, dealing with guest issues and contributing to a culture of service excellence. 

Physical Demands: 

The employee is regularly required to be on their feet, reaching with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
