We’re looking for Vehicle Maintenance Tech professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska. 
 
What You’ll Do 
 
As a Vehicle Maintenance Tech 1, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our fleet of vehicles is running smoothly, efficiently, and safely.  
 
Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Pick up parts from Hotel and various vendors in Anchorage.
  • Transport vehicles as needed. 
  • Repair and maintain the fleet of Alyeska Resort vehicles and equipment.
  • Assists other Techs on maintenance and repair projects. 
  • Complete and accurate recording of daily activity on work orders. 
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop area and provide a safe work environment. 
  • Attend weekly staff and safety meetings.  
  • Will be respectful of all employees and guests of Alyeska Resort.

What We Need 

  • Must be over 18 years old. 
  • High school education or equivalent. 
  • Must possess a valid Alaska Driver’s License. 
  • Must be able to operate a manual transmission. 
  • Mechanical aptitude. 
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair. 
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks such as: oil changes, tire change over, inspection and repair of brake, driveline, suspension, and steering systems. 
  • Familiarity with basic tools and diagnostic equipment. 
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions. 
  • Commitment to learning and improving knowledge and skill sets.

Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test developed for this job. 
     
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.  The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.  Physical terrain in the work environment can be uneven with poor traction; there is ice and snow outside, and wet floors indoors.
