Team You Will Lead:  Spa Attendant Team, Spa Night Cleaners

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Presents self as a role model and great first impression by being in proper uniform, wearing a name tag and professionally groomed. Maximizes their availability to guests and/or team members in support of great first impressions every time.
  • Delivering "picture perfect" spa public areas within agreed timelines requires hard work and attention to detail; Ensure locker room is pristine, amenities are in place and stocked (soaps, tissue, paper towels, cotton, styling products, brushes, etc.), garbage receptacles less than half full and outdoor stations are always guest-ready and free of debris, trash and used towels.
  • Completes regular facility walk-through to identify any areas requiring extra cleaning or maintenance and assign accordingly. Ensure cleanliness is up to standard, and Spa Attendants have all of the tools needed to complete their work.
  • Maintains inventory with proper par levels. Purchases stock based on inventory counts and order more stock/supplies as required, staying in line with budgeted goals.
  • Maintains proper communication with front-of-house spa team to ensure proper staff with spa volume. Keeping the guest experience top of mind.
  • Shows commitment to their department by ensuring all team members on their shift are completing required tasks daily, weekly, and monthly with an emphasis on delivering results that support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Assists leader in training team members in all of the technical skills required to be successful in their roles. Understands that every employee on their shift is a reflection of their training and coaching skills. Assists in meeting multiple demands and competing priorities by using the tools and resources.
  • Does not accept mediocrity in the delivery of service on their shift. Able to evaluate the status quo and is able to recommend improvements for the performance department. Does not let operational roadblocks hamper their ability to deliver quality; finds creative solutions.
  • Has the technical job skills required to maintain organizational and professional standards in their area of work. Their work and the work of their shift/people is of sufficient quality to consistently make a great first impression. Demonstrates commitment to continued involvement in training and developing people in their area(s). Serves as a role model, leading by example; seeks advice for development of additional skills.
  • In the absence of their leader, is accountable for identifying and solving operational problems on their own; before their people and or the guest experience is negatively impacted.
  • Understands that finding the time to look ahead beyond their shift to make operational decisions that will positively impact their department is crucial. Leaves no team members in the weeds, proactively handling unexpected operational hurdles.

Education & Experience

  • Previous Spa or Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Prior Supervisory Experience
  • First Aid Certificates (Including CPR) preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, move and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly.                                           
  • Excellent guest service, communication and organizational skills, in addition to a solid work ethic with the ability to work independently.                 
  • Able to lift, move, and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly.

Working Conditions
This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders.  This role will spend a considerable amount of time working outdoors in the fresh mountain air and weather. 

Physical Demands  
The employee is regularly required to be on their feet, reaching with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as employee performance, grooming, training and policy adherence. Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test developed for this job.

The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
