Mountain Sports School Supervisor

Our Mountain Sports School Supervisors are no exception in facilitating an adventure of a lifetime for each of our guests. The Snowsports School Supervisor is responsible for snowsports school lesson operations, and are devoted leaders committed to staff development, personal growth and the guest experience. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily Mountain Sports School operations including scheduling, assigning classes, and payroll while providing daily on-snow support to instructors to ensure that a quality experience is provided to all our guests.
  • Assist with administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, managing equipment inventory and reporting on lesson and guest feedback.
  • Monitor and document instructor performance and behavior that provides meaningful feedback and direction, including recognition, performance coaching, or disciplinary action if necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety related programs including training and incident reporting.
  • Coordinate with other management, departments, and third-party organizations as needed.
  • Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on snowsports school operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Current PSIA/AASI Level 2 or equivalent certification required.
  • 1-3 years ski/snowboard instructor experience and 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • Leadership Development experience.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Competent user of RTP, Flaik, and UKG preferred.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic accounting and finance skills.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of ski and ride training and drills.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

This is a seasonal full-time position. The expected pay range is $26.00/Hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors such as certification level, years of industry experience and education.

  • Physical demands: Ability to demonstrate skiing or snowboarding techniques, lift and carry equipment up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, walk, in various snow conditions, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Work Environment: This role occasionally involves extended hours and weekends to accommodate peak business periods. Operating within a dynamic, guest-centric setting, you will interact frequently with staff, guests, and stakeholders. Your work spans both indoor and outdoor environments, encompassing a range of mountain weather conditions.
