We are hiring for a Passionate Resort Director of People & Culture to lead our Human Resources team at the Hotel Alyeska and Alyeska Nordic Spa.

Scope
As the Director of People & Culture, you are responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the Human Resource functions to support the Resort's overall strategic goals. Additionally, you will diffuse the internalization of our Core Values by partnering with leaders to coach, support and provide guidance on areas including performance management, people relations, health & safety and workforce planning through meaningful face-to-face interactions. The Resort Director of People and Culture must work collaboratively and take a hands-on approach to effectively manage change and promote a positive employee experience. Working Conditions
Due to the 365-day, a year operation of the Resort, the Director of People & Culture may be exposed to long shifts that, at times include late hours, weekends, and holidays. This position is set in a fast-paced environment with high levels of interaction with employees and other stakeholders. The Director of People & Culture will spend a lot of time on their feet, multitasking competing priorities, effectively leading employees, solving problems and leading a culture of service excellence.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as employee performance, grooming, training and policy adherence. Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test developed for this job.
