Human Resources/Employee Housing Assistant

Responsible for providing support for People and Culture (H.R.) employee programs within the organization.

Main Duties:

  • Assists with J1 walk in traffic in the People and Culture Department.
  • Assists employees with information and filing onboarding documents as needed.
  • Assists Housing Manager with J1 housing program
  • Assists J1/Employee Coordinator with J1 program and on-site issues and programs.
  • Assists with J1 arrival and departures.
  • Assists with transportation providers, J1 transportation to housing in Anchorage. 
  • Keeps J1 employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion.
  • Assists with the Orientation and Onboarding of all employees.
  • Assist employee housing manager in keeping inventory of all buildings and off site properties.
  • Ensure all rooms are fully clean for check-ins and room changes complete with a room report (damage, inventory)
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all hallways, common areas and the perimeters of the buildings at all time.

Skills/Requirements:  Previous human resources experience preferred.  Computer literacy required.  Ability to communicate with employees, colleagues and leadership.  A successful candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
