The Executive Housekeeper plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Rooms by ensuring operational efficiency across all cleaning services including guest rooms, public areas, multiple outlets, laundry and back-of-house spaces. This position is directly involved in the day-to-day management of housekeeping staff and maintains the resort's standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the management and supervision of housekeeping operations to ensure superior service and standards. 
  • Recruit, train, develop, schedule, and lead housekeeping staff and leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, professionalism, and operational excellence in a high-volume resort environment. 
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, laundry facilities, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, organization, maintenance standards, and overall presentation are consistently upheld.  
  • Manage budgets for labor, linen, supplies and equipment with tasks focused around forecasting needs, controlling expenses, minimizing waste, and maintaining proper inventory levels for linens, amenities, and cleaning products.  
  • Handle guest concerns, complaints, and service recovery situations related to housekeeping operations in a timely, professional, and solution-oriented manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and minimizing recurrence. 
  • Maintain strong communication and partnership with Engineering regarding preventative maintenance needs, renovation follow-up, and repair priorities impacting guest experience. 
  • Ensure compliance with resort policies, safety procedures, brand standards, and regulatory requirements, including proper handling of chemicals, equipment, and workplace safety practices. 
  • Collaborate closely with Front Office, Sales, Food & Beverage, and other cross-departmental teams to support group arrivals, VIP guests, special events, and overall operational execution throughout the resort. 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of innovative procedures and features to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. 
  • Maintain communication with the Director of Rooms and other department heads to coordinate activities and optimize guest experience. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by resort leadership based on operational needs. 
  • Analyze operational reports, labor performance, guest feedback, inspection results, and productivity metrics to identify trends and drive operational improvements as required by Director of Rooms. 

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • Proven track record in a supervisory housekeeping role within the luxury hospitality. 
  • Strong compliance with safety regulations, chemical handling, and sanitation standards.  
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to effectively manage a diverse team. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. 
  • Good problem-solving skills and the initiative to address and mitigate issues promptly. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with guests and team members. 
  • Knowledge of housekeeping process and best practices. 
  • Prior experience with the J1 Student Visa program is a preferred 
  • Proficiency in using industry-relevant software and technologies, such as OperaCloud, Rex, HotSOS, and UltiPro is preferred.

  • Work Environment: This position is based in a hotel setting and typically works a five-day schedule which may include weekends. This position may also work extended hours to accommodate peak business periods. Operating within a dynamic, fast-paced guest-centric setting, you will maintain a high level of interaction with staff, guests, and stakeholders.
