Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes prepared reflect the essence of Nordic Spa Wellness Menu.
  • Ensuring guests receive attentive, friendly, and personalized service, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the bistro.
  • Hiring, training, and supervising bistro staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork and growth.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, food handling regulations, and sanitation practices.
  • Works with Leadership to monitor budgets, analyze financial data, and implement cost-control measures to optimize bistro profitability. 
  • Collaborating with spa management to align bistro offerings with the overall spa experience and contribute to the spa's success.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of restaurant/bistro management experience. 
  • A passion for health & wellness.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the spa's operational needs.

Working Conditions
This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders.  This role will spend a considerable amount of time working outdoors in the fresh mountain air and weather. 

Physical demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.  Must have manual dexterity/grasp of hand to use kitchen equipment.  The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with a hand truck.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test developed for this job.

Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to cold/heat, wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles.  The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
