We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Resort Team for 6 months. This is currently a temporary position and can be completed remotely.

The Marketing Manager will look after the Alyeska Resort and Alyeska Nordic Spa.  Key responsibilities include the execution of marketing strategies, campaign development, creative testing, on going results analysis, creating strong tourism partnerships, and ensuring our social activities and digital content are all aligned. You will achieve excellence by building and engaging with the Resort and Spa audience base and executing effective strategies that will promote our brand's long-term growth and position in the market.

This role offers excellent compensation. This position starts at $80,000.00 annually. Must have the ability to travel as required.

Skills/Abilities Include:

  • Implement marketing strategies on various channels including company websites, social media, partner assets, and paid media
  • Manage Alyeska's social channels by strategically featuring key happenings of the Resort and Spa, partner activities while engaging with followers and partners.
  • Manage influencer strategy & hosting in collaboration, working closely with the Mountain, Communications Manager
  • Support the creative needs of inhouse teams including Revenue, Sales, Food & Beverage, Recruiting, etc.
  • Able to execute design work such as emails and signage design.
  • Analyze data to determine campaign efficiency, optimize performance and report on KPI's
  • Comfortable presenting marketing plans, campaign results and project recommendations to the senior management team.
  • Technical SEO site audits & reports, competitive analysis, keyword research, content optimization
  • Understands that as a business leader, their appearance and professionalism is always on display. Understands that they and their work are seen as a reflection of the organization.
  • Has the technical job skills required to maintain organizational and professional standards in their area of work. Their work is of sufficient quality to consistently make a great first impression. Independently and proficiently applies technical knowledge and skills in their area of expertise.
  • Operates within budgeted parameters; able to bring commentary on the performance of their area(s) on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Can efficiently make the necessary changes to meet budgeted demands and keep in line with the business's needs/goals.
  • Delivers excellence in everything they produce, present and convey while adhering to brand guidelines. Does not accept mediocrity or the status quo from their area. Is creative and diligent in the pursuit of continuous improvement, not letting roadblocks undermine quality.
  • Understands that the work they do impacts the profitability of the business. Thinks and acts across the Resort as a whole. Assesses multiple demands and competing priorities and identifies the necessary resources to handle critical work demands.
  • Their area is perceived as a centre of excellence and they are called upon to share their technical knowledge and best practices with their peers or other work groups within or outside the organization.
  • Experience in developing marketing plans and budgets in collaboration with senior leadership.

  

Education & Experience required to be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising or related discipline an asset
  • 4+ years' experience in a marketing role
  • Travel & Tourism Experience an asset
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency with analytics and web analysis tools
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Design skills (Creative Cloud/Adobe/Canva)
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills

 

Working Conditions:
Due to the 365 day, a year operation of the Resort, the Marketing Manager may be exposed to long shifts that at times include late hours, weekends, and holidays. This position is set in a fast-paced environment with high interaction levels with multiple platforms, software applications, outside partners, employees and other stakeholders. The Marketing Manager will spend a lot of time multitasking competing priorities and solving problems. 

 

Work Environment: 

The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
