Deli Cashier – Summer 2023

The cashier provides cashier duties at The Bore Tide Deli at the Top of the Tram at Alyeska Ski Resort in Girdwood, Alaska. This Position Starts June 1st 2023.

Main Duties:

  • Welcomes and connects with every customer.
  • Sells food, beverages, and other items to guests.
  • Accurately handles cash, checks and guest checks. 
  • Operates cash register following cash handling and cash control procedures.
  • Reconciles cash and charges at the end of each shift.
  • Answer general Resort questions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Must have or be able to obtain Food Handlers Card within the introductory period.
