We’re looking for Lift Maintenance Tech professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska.
What You’ll Do
As a Lift Maintenance Tech 2, you’ll be responsible for all maintenance both scheduled and unscheduled, must have the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, industrial control systems, low voltage AC and DC controls, motors, drives, and hydraulic tensioning systems. Working both independently and as part of the maintenance team. The qualified candidate’s duties will be performed indoors, outdoors, at heights, and in all weather conditions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Follow all lift maintenance policies and procedures as outlined by Lift Maintenance Manager, Mountain Operations Manager, General Manager, ANSI, and lift manufacturers.
Ability to communicate with the Lift Maintenance Manager, Mtn. Operations Manager, Mountain GM and other crew on all lift electrical/maintenance matters and safety issues.
Maintain work in compliance with all applicable safety codes, and to assist other team members/departments operate in compliance with all Alyeska SOP’s, ANSI, OSHA, and manufacturers operational guidelines.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair lift related mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections
Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance/repairs.
Responsible for entering and updating record keeping maintenance logs.
Safely inspect and complete equipment preparation of lifts for operations.
Actively be involved in lift procedures, lift emergency procedures, and time dependent repairs.
Ability to prioritize according to departmental goals.
Work closely with level 3 and higher mechanics and electricians to further training of lift electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and operational systems.

What We Need
Must be over 18 years old.
High school education or equivalent.
Must possess a valid Alaska Driver’s License.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Minimum 2 years of experience in lift maintenance, industrial maintenance, and/or equivalent.
Proficient with hand tools, rigging, equipment, and the ability to use them.
Have a basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic operating systems and ability to learn new systems as they pertain to lift operation and maintenance.
Ability to consult manuals, trade publications, vendors, staff schools and training programs to keep updated on current shop practices and new maintenance technologies to improve the efficiency and production of the Lift Maintenance Department.
Ability to work outside at heights, and in all weather conditions.
Ability to ski or snowboard expert terrain in all conditions.
Ability to operate small equipment such as snowmobiles and ATV’s.

📌Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, crawl, kneel, talk, see, hear, and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee must be able to operate hand and foot controls on vehicles/equipment. Specific vision abilities include color, and depth perception.
📌Work Environment: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Physical terrain in the work environment can be uneven with poor traction; there is ice and snow outside, and wet floors indoors. Perform duties at heights.
